An Award for our Campaign on the Distroller YouTube Channel: What is Autism?

One more year the El Chupete International Children’s Communication Festival, which has already celebrated its XIV edition, has presented its annual awards to the best children’s communication works. As an institution, El Chupete is promoted by professionals from the world of communication and education and its priority objective is to promote responsible children’s communication and encourage children’s creativity.

For this reason, from 2btube we wanted to present one of our most special campaigns, which we carried out with the same mission and the same objective as this entity: to promote values such as creativity and learning for children.

The chosen one was the campaign produced and carried out by 2btube on the Distroller YouTube channel about autism. With it, Distroller and 2btube aim to promote the inclusion of people with autism through visibility and awareness.

It was in 2018 when the initiative arose to create an Investigueishon -a format included in the channel where topics are discussed and explained in a very simple way for all audiences- about autism. Why? because it is a situation very present in Mexico, 1 in 115 children has autism, there are many doubts and there is not enough information on how people with this condition should be treated. Therefore, Distroller wanted to publish this video to resolve some of these doubts.

It explains what autism is, using drawings and everyday examples, so that children – the main audience of their channel – can easily understand it. “People with autism perceive the world differently from how most of us are used to”, is one of the phrases included in the video; achieving a reach of 216,000 impressions, 20,000 views, 764 likes and 163 comments. And it was shared 127 times, achieving an engagement of 7.28%.

Therefore, we are proud to say that we have been awarded with the Chupete Award for Best Finalist in the Digital category for this special campaign. Fabienne Fourquet – CEO of 2btube- and Andrea Santamaría – Product Manager of 2bkids collected the award at the gala that was held on November 13.
