After succeeding in cinemas in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador; our second film “Misfit #eresotehaces” is now available on two important platforms; HBO Max and Canela.tv.
On the one hand, the Latin American public will be able to see it through HBO Max and, on the other, the Hispanic public in the USA has it available on Canela.tv. This is the first Ecuadorian film to be in the catalog of films of these prestigious platforms.
HBO Max has a large number of subscribers throughout Latin America and since its launch in June 2021, it has only grown within this market. In turn, Canela.tv, a platform belonging to the Canela Media group, leaders in OTT and online video, specializing in connecting with the Hispanic public in the USA, also has a large number of affiliates: 8.3 million unique users.

All about Misfit #Eresotehaces
The story of Misfit tells the life of Julia, a Latin American teenager who lives in the United States, being a successful YouTuber and being part of the popular girls at her school. But that whole dream world changes when her family returns to her country of origin, Ecuador, and Julia will have to adapt to new customs and a very different culture, in addition to earning the respect of her new classmates. Julia will be involved in numerous varied situations in her new Latin institute, where she will discover the importance of knowing her origins.
Misfit features the participation of a renowned national and international cast, among which Alicia Jaziz and Gimena Gómez from Mexico stand out; Julián Cerati and Mica Suárez from Argentina; Javi Luna from Spain; Raysa Ortiz from Peru and Giselle Torres from the United States.
The film is directed by Orlando Herrera and is the second production of 2bOriginals, our original content producer, after the success of “Dedicada a mi ex”.
Misfit is an adaptation of the Dutch film with the same name, released in 2017, which managed to be the third highest-grossing film in the Netherlands that same year. The original film, produced by NewBe and Splendid Films, has been adapted in five countries, being the Dutch film with the most remakes in history and that, with this Latin version, has managed to win the love of a very different audience than the Dutch, the Latin American. The success of the film is, in large part, due to having developed a strategy in which traditional production is mixed with new digital talents, one of the hallmarks of 2bOriginals.
