Our first film “Dedicada a mi ex” arrived in theaters in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador in November 2019. Months later, it has officially positioned itself as the highest-grossing Ecuadorian film in history.
This very rock-and-roll romantic comedy is the first film by Ecuadorian director and actor Jorge Ulloa and stars Raúl Santana, Nataly Valencia (Ecuador), Biassini Segura (Colombia), and Carlos Alcántara (Peru).
The Avant Premiere was celebrated in each country with a red carpet full of well-known celebrities from the digital world. In addition, the premiere was accompanied by a Live Streaming, in which the director and the protagonists answered hundreds of questions from fans. The director and actors of the film gave words of thanks to the film’s audience for the immense support received when it premiered in style in front of YouTubers, influencers, fans, and the media.

The film features the participation of renowned Latin American actors such as: Mariana Treviño, Eugenio Derbez, Jorge Enrique Abello, and Lorna Cepeda; as well as the Ecuadorians: Alfredo Espinoza, Orlando Herrera, Martha Ormaza, Alex Cisneros, among others. There are also appearances by recognized influencers and youtubers such as: Fernanfloo, Luisito Comunica, Werevertumorro, Mox, Yosstop, Kika Nieto and Iván Marín.
Synopsis of the Film
“Dedicada a mi ex” tells the story of Ariel (Raúl Santana), a 21-year-old, shy and afraid of change, whose life changes after breaking up with his girlfriend of all adolescence, upon learning that she will live in Finland for a while to do a professional internship.
Ariel, willing to win back his great love, will have to get enough money to pay for the plane ticket and fate will bring him the solution: win a battle of rock bands, where the prize is $10,000.
The protagonist will do everything in his power to win the contest and for this, he will have to form a rock band with Ortega (Biassini Segura), his immature and enthusiastic friend, Felicia (Nataly Valencia), an eccentric, rebellious and talented drummer, and Néstor (Carlos Alcántara), a terrible and decadent middle-aged Christian guitarist.
“Dedicada a mi ex” has achieved recognition from the Latin American public, not only becoming the highest-grossing Ecuadorian film in history but, years later, reaching digital platforms such as Netflix y Pantaya.
