The challenge

The brand sought to connect emotionally with younger consumers, those between 18 and 25 years old, through one of their key areas: soccer. Mahou Cinco Estrellas has been associating itself with the king of sports for years through various initiatives and sponsorships.

In this target group, entertainment habits had completely changed due to the growth of social media and the broadcasting of soccer matches on paid OTT platforms. Entertainment and the territory were moving towards new touchpoints like YouTube and influencers on the platform.

What we did

We created Sabor a Fútbol, ​​a Branded Content channel on YouTube, where several sports journalists and influencers star in the most entertaining challenges about the sport. At 2btube, we designed the strategy, produced the content both in our own studios and on location, and managed the channel and the participating talents.

A long-term strategy where formats and collaborators are updated each season according to current trends and special actions are carried out with athletes. All the videos on the channel are original, adapted to the platform, the target audience, and the communication style of the influencers who star on the channel.

Results

It has built its own community of followers, reaching hundreds of thousands of viewers monthly. The brand has carved out a niche among sports channels on YouTube, garnering 85,000 subscribers and more than 18 million views across the nearly 600 videos it has published since the channel's creation in late 2017.
