‘Sabor a Fútbol’ is an Entertainment Space Aimed at Fans of this Sport
Mahou Cinco Estrellas has relied on 2btube for the creation of Sabor a Fútbol, its new channel on YouTube, with which they seek to reach wider audiences, those who consume football content beyond television or sports newspapers.
Its contents, as they advance in the channel’s trailer, go beyond what happens on the pitch. Los Otros Partidos (The Other Matches), an idea that transcends what happens on the field and focuses on all the content, passion and stories that revolve around football, is the concept that structures the entire project.
The talents selected to present the channel are Juan Arroita, Andrés Cabrera and Guillermo González, who have been presenters of the successful Campeones channel, also produced by 2btube. With more than 450,000 subscribers on YouTube, this football channel has positioned itself as No. 1 in Spain in the sports information category, demonstrating that fans of this sport are a community that consumes content on this topic beyond news about match results or the broadcast of the matches.
Mahou Cinco Estrellas and 2btube have created the content and format strategy for this corporate channel, which will also include videos from other production companies and already hosts all the football-related content that the brand has produced in recent years. At 2btube we have set up a set for this project in its facilities and we are in charge of the production, recording and editing of all the videos starring Campeones, as well as the management of the channel. At the level of own production, in addition to the aforementioned Campeones, we produce Draw Club, a channel that accumulates almost 3 million followers. Each week two new videos are published in Sabor a Fútbol, combining fun formats such as “Things you didn’t know” which deals with curiosities and anecdotes; “7 Second Challenge” which consists of the presenters having to answer questions related to football in less than 7 seconds or “Cut Out Stories” where, through drawings and cutouts, some fact related to this sport is explained in a didactic way. In addition, there are also special videos where well-known footballers from the teams sponsored by Mahou Cinco Estrellas are challenged. An example is this “Challenges with flavor” where Lucas Hernández and Thomas Partey, from Atlético de Madrid, compete to be the top scorers and thus win a beer from their teammate.
